Browser Integration

Search3 is easy to add to your browser. Follow the below steps for each browser type;

Firefox | IE7 | Google Chrome | Flock | Opera 9

Firefox

Make Search3 the default search engine in Firefox. This guide applies to both Mac and Windows versions of Firefox, although screenshots are from Windows.

1. Navigate to www.search3.com in your browser.
   
2. Click the arrow on the left-hand side of the search box. It will have a green S3 logo around it. Select "Add 'Search3'" from the list.
   
3. Search3 will now appear as the default search engine in the search box.
   

IE7

Make Search3 the default search engine in Internet Explorer 7.

1. Navigate to www.search3.com in your browser.
   
2. Click the arrow next to the magnifying glass on the right. Select "Add Search Providers," and then select "Search3"
   
3. Select the checkbox titled "Make this my default search provider." Then click "Add Provider."
   
4. Search3 will now appear as the default search engine in the search box.
   

Google Chrome

Make Search3 the default search engine in Google Chrome.

1. Click the wrench icon to the right of the address bar and select "Options."
   
2. Click the "Manage" button in the "Default search" section of the Basics tab.
   
3. Click "Add" in the top right of the window.
   
4. Fill in the fields with this information:
   
5. Click "OK" to close the dialog. Then click "Make Default" located on the right-hand side of the window.
   
6. Click "Close" to close the "Search Engines" window, and click "Close" again to close the "Google Chrome Options" window.
7. Search3 will now be used as the default search engine in Chrome.

Flock

Make Search3 the default search engine in Flock.
This guide applies to both Mac and Windows versions of Flock, although screenshots are from Windows.

1. Navigate to www.search3.com in Flock.
   
2. Click the orange magnifying glass to the left of the address box. Select "Search3" from the list and click ‘add’ when prompted.
   
3. Click the grey arrow on the right-hand side of the search box. Select "Search Preferences" from the bottom of the list.
   
4. Click the drop-down menu next to "Default Search Engine" and select "Search3" from the list. Click "OK" to close the Options window.
   
5. Search3 will now appear as the default search engine in the search box.
   

Opera

Make Search3 the default search engine in Opera 9.6
This guide applies to both Mac and Windows versions of Opera, although screenshots are from Mac.

1. From the "Opera" menu, select "Preferences..."
   
2. Click the "Search" tab, and then click the "Add" button.
   
3. Fill in the fields with this information:
   
   Name: Search3
   Keyword: s
   Address: http://www.search3.com/search/?q=%s
   Select "Use as default search engine" and "Use as Speed Dial search engine"
   
   Leave the other fields blank.
   
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog. Then click "OK" again to close the preferences.
5. Click the down arrow on the right of the search box. At the bottom of the list select "Search3"
   
6. Search3 will now appear as the default search engine in the search box.
   

*Safari does not let you change your search engine preference at this time. Sorry.
